Duolingo is adding music lessons to the syllabus

Attention, students: Duolingo is adding a new subject to its course catalog: music.

On Wednesday, the popular language-learning app announced the debut of music lessons. Just like any other language, including High Valyrian, you’ll soon be able to learn the language of music the Duolingo way. An early glimpse shows a focus on learning to read and play music in a gamified fashion. The course will offer hundreds of lessons using familiar tunes, through interactive sessions that teach users to learn music such as identifying notes based on sounds and matching pairs of notes.
