USB-C is coming to Apple AirPods

The just-announced iPhone 15 isn’t the only Apple device getting that sweet USB-C upgrade.

During the 2023 Apple Event livestream, the iPhone maker announced that USB-C will be coming to AirPods, too.

The AirPods Pro 2 will be the first to feature USB-C. The popular headphones now come with a USB-C charging case. The entry-level AirPods and high-end AirPods Max weren’t mentioned, but earlier reports indicate that we may see USB-C added to those early next year, too.

Interestingly, EarPods (Apple’s wired earbuds) happened to made an appearance during the livestream; they, too, will be receiving a USB-C upgrade alongside the AirPods Pro 2.
