We’re less than 24 hours out from the official start of Prime Day and the deals show it, especially with this Apple find.

As of July 10, the M1 MacBook Air (opens in a new tab)(with 256GB of built-in storage) is down to its lowest price ever of $749.99 at Amazon. You’ll also find this $249 markdown at Best Buy(opens in a new tab), which kicked off its Black Friday in July sale today.

While this laptop did come out in 2020, it doesn’t show its age. The M1 chip is great for everyday tasks like streaming as well as more intensive creative work like photo or video editing. The M1 was recently eclipsed by Apple’s new M2 processor, which you’ll find in the new generation MacBook Air laptops. However, the M1 is still a legendary processor, and the M1 Macbook Air is widely considered to be one of the greatest laptops ever made, as you can read in our M1 Macbook Air (2020) review.

Other big perks: up to 18 hours of battery life (aka the same as the 2023 Air), major portability, and the most budget-friendly price you’ll find on any MacBook. At the time of writing, the next most affordable MacBook(opens in a new tab) sits at $1,099. This laptop is usually on sale to some degree, but this Prime Day price drop is new. As of last week, this MacBook was priced as high as $869.

While it’s not as powerful as a Macbook Pro or the M2 Macbook Air, it’s still a solid computer for work and play. Because this is an older model laptop, we expect this product to sell out at Amazon before Prime Day ends, so don’t procrastinate on this Apple Prime Day deal.
